Mechanical Engineer
Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Mechanical Engineer at Optec LED Lighting Inc. The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for new engineering projects including proof of concept and design, process and product evaluation, and coordination of project activities/milestones to ensure successful on time completion. The Mechanical Engineer supports manufacturing for tooling, fitment, equipment and developing manufacturing processes.
Qualifications
- Mechanical Engineering and Design skills
- Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD)
- Experience in Project Management
- Knowledge of Research and Development (R&D) processes
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Experience with LED lighting systems is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- 5+ years of related work experience
- Knowledge and experience in lighting fixture design preferred
- Knowledge of manufacturing meths such as die casting, injection molding, aluminum extrusions
